Avdhesh Negi
I am Avdhesh. I consider myself as a migrant, since my family migrated from the village to the city in search of a better life. But we soon realized that city life did not mean a better life. I now live in the city but I am still deeply connected with my community, back in my village. The media is playing a very negative role. News shows the rich and powerful, but the problems faced by common people are never spoken out. I want to show the conditions my community is experiencing, which are ignored or deliberately silenced. My town, Solan, is one of the most developed in Himachal. According to government records, this city has everything. But once you visit the hospital, you will see that there are 2 or 3 people forced to share a bed. So I wants to show the truth beyond figures. I have joined community media so that I can be the voice of my community members. I would like to address problems related to education, untouchability and development, which people are not aware of.
